- Shoulder Pain
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Neck and Upper Back Pain
- Thumb Injuries

Chiropractic care works on the skeletal system (bones and joints) to restore movement and function to the spine and other joints. This improves posture, nervous system function, spine function and overall health.
The techniques I use are;
- manual adjustments (hands on diversified)
- low force, Activator, drop table
- Sacro Occipital Technique (S.O.T)
- NET (neuro emotional technique)
- AK (applied kinesiology)
- Soft Tissue Therapy
Spinal Decompression Therapy involves using a specialised table to stretch and lengthen the spine, to relieve the pressure placed on the vertebrae and discs. The table is not a magic wand, but it can be highly effective for the right patients.
It has been shown to work well for;
- the treatment of degenerative, herniated, bulged or protruded discs.
- Sciatica pain
- It is a gentle treatment that also works well for the arthritic spine
Cold Laser Therapy
Multi Radiance 4 Super Pulsed Laser works exceptionally well in combination with chiropractic techniques. The super-pulsed lasers allows for deep penetration without heating the tissue, thereby quickly reducing inflammation. The revolutionary technology also allows for shorter treatment times.
It has been shown to;
- Decrease pain and inflammation
- Increase healing
- Increase collagen growth
- Increase circulation in injured area
- Increase lymphatic drainage
- Increase wound healing
- Decrease formation of scar tissue
- Increase breakup of fibrotic scar tissue
- Increase regeneration of healthy tissue
Normally 4-6 treatments are needed to achieve an improvement
- Soft tissue injuries e.g. sprains/strains
- Arthritis of the spine, knee, shoulder, elbow etc.
- Chronic pain syndromes e.g. RSI, frozen shoulder, chronic neck and low back pain
- Nerve pain, sciatica, neuropathic pain e.g. from disc injuries in low back and neck
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Tennis elbow, Golfer’s elbow
- Jaw pain, TMJ
- Plantar fasciitis, heel spurs
- Bursitis e.g shoulder, hip
- Sports injuries
- Ankle sprains
- Rotator cuff problems and shoulder pain
- Knee joint injuries e.g – ligament sprains
Needle and non needle techniques are used.
This is an effective and skilled intervention where the insertion of fine needles, or laser stimulation, is used to stimulate underlying joints and points in muscular and connective tissues for the management of pain and movement impairments.
Most often MS Acupuncture is used in combination with one or more other modalities for best result

My name is Julie Middleton. I grew up in a small town on the east coast of Sweden, Oskarshamn. I spent most of my 20’s and early 30’s travelling the world, constantly trying to save enough money for my next trip. I lived in many different places and in 1990 I moved to Australia. My entire family still resides in Sweden, so I endeavour to make regular trips back to re-connect with all of them.
I have always been passionate about health, so in 1994 I embarked on a mid-life career change. After 6 years of study at Macquarie University, I graduated in 2000 with a Master of Chiropractic . Following that, I owned and operated a successful chiropractic business in Menai for 16 years. I have now embarked on a new chapter in my life. A smaller scale, more personal approach to health. This led me to re-connect with Hayden Keys at Happy & Healthy Wellbeing Centre, whom I have known since 2002 and worked with previously.
I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so I have been trained in a range of modalities including Acupuncture for Somatic Dysfunction, Sacro Occipital Technique, Applied Kinesiology, NET to name a few. I have 15 years experience as a fitness professional, which enables me to advise and prescribe suitable exercises and fitness regime for all ages.
I help my clients, who include children, pregnant women, adults and the elderly, to find the strength, confidence and ability to participate in all the joys that life has to offer. A well balanced, strong body is a good start.
One of the most rewarding parts of my day is watching people experience a transformation in their health as they go through Chiropractic care. Improved health is infectious and the lifestyle gains that it results in can be exponential. Regular Chiropractic care allows people to regain their awareness of healthy living and helps them maintain this high quality over the course of their life.
